Dr. Suzette Vélez-Rivera is a pharmacist with over 16 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is double board certified in Ambulatory Care and Geriatric Pharmacy. Currently, she serves as the President of MindfulRx, LLC a Puerto Rican company founded by pharmacists to support population-based pharmaceutical care, including the development and execution of Medication Therapy Management Services. She is also the president of SVRx Consulting, a consulting firm dedicated to supporting healthcare organizations with services such as medical writing, medical marketing, training, and education, and access and reimbursement for Specialty Medications.
With extensive experience across various pharmacy settings, Dr. Vélez has overseen the clinical pharmacy departments of two Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM). She also served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Puerto Rico, where she developed the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Clinic. In the MTM clinic, she focused on providing services while teaching students to do effective interventions. Additionally, she oversaw the MTM Department of one of the main Health Plans in Puerto Rico. Her expertise extends to developing clinical programs to support CMS Star Measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing patient care.
Dr. Carla M. Marrero-Vázquez is a seasoned pharmacist with over sixteen years of experience spanning retail, hospital, and managed care settings. She specializes in Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Disease Management, Community Pharmacy, Population Health Management, Value-Based Care, and Managed Care. As Vice President and cofounder of MindfulRx, a Puerto Rican company founded by women pharmacists, she oversees strategic planning, operations, and regulatory compliance, driving innovative solutions that improve healthcare outcomes.
Previously, she managed MTM operations for one of Puerto Rico’s largest Medicare health plans, where she played a pivotal role in achieving and maintaining a 5-star CMS rating and successfully led the NCQA accreditation for Population Health Management. She has also overseen the seamless integration of pharmacy services into clinical programs for several Health Systems, driving enhancements in care coordination, cost management, and medication-related initiatives, including Stars measures and pharmacy utilization reviews. Her leadership in optimizing pharmacy operations was instrumental in meeting performance goals and maintaining regulatory compliance. Known for her leadership and collaborative approach, Carla excels in mentoring teams and developing strategic solutions to improve healthcare delivery.
As our Chief Talent Officer, Jose Juan Vélez Rivera, plays an essential role in creating a workplace environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent. With a focus on human resources management in the healthcare and medical devices industry, he oversees all HR functions, including recruitment, training, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and industry standards such as ISO 13485.

Jorge Iván Rodríguez Cabrera, Chief Infrastructure Officer, brings over 30 years of experience in the industrial sector, specializing in strategic leadership, project management, and operational excellence. He excels at managing large-scale infrastructure projects, combining technical expertise with financial discipline to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality results.
In his role, Jorge oversees both physical and technological infrastructure, ensuring facilities are efficient and IT systems robust enough to support clinical operations. Known for optimizing processes and driving innovation, he consistently delivers projects that exceed performance, safety, and sustainability goals. His leadership and commitment to excellence make him a trusted and indispensable leader.
